Where Layers Almost Meet is a series of watercolour and coloured-pencil drawings inspired by the layers found within sandstone.

Lines shift, overlap and move apart, reflecting the way we too are built in layers — through memory, experience, change and time.

Some layers remain visible. Others soften or disappear beneath the surface.

These works explore the quiet spaces where those layers come together, without ever completely becoming one.
